Rafter Diamond H is a private family owned facility nestled in the heart of Florida.  Located in the rural town of Avon Park, Rafter Diamond H is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from Tampa or Orlando.  The combined experience of owners Darrell and Pamela Hensley are a perfect fit for beginner riders onto those with serious competition in their sights.  Both Darrell and Pam have a strong belief in, and actively study natural horsemanship as an effective means of communication between horse and rider.

Darrell Hensley has over 24 years experience in training and showing cutting horses.  He has trained and shown under the guidance of Keith Barnett, Barbara Schulte and his cousin Gary Bellenfant.  Darrell also trained and showed the open and amateur champion OPEA yearling lounge line horse.

Pamela Hensley has shown and trained horses for over 25 years.  She is certified through NARHA as a riding instructor.  Pam believes strongly in continuing education and plans to attend a Lynn Palm Partnership training clinic later this year.  Pam has many credits in her career as a horsewoman, including a Florida youth reserve state champion in Western Pleasure, experience in Hunter Jumper, Showmanship, Halter, Theraputic Riding, and Obstacle Challenges, just to name a few.

The Hensley family believes   strongly in giving back to the   community.  This photo was taken at a ride-a-thon to support Heartland Horses & Handicapped, Inc. a local riding program for children and adults with disabilities.  Darrell serves on the board of this agency, and Pamela assists as an instructor when needed.  Darrell, Pamela, and their son Colton are also active members of Cowboy Up Ministry.
